Robin Day's Avian seating range was launched by twentytwentyone in 2000. The range consists of an armchair, a three-seat and a two-seat sofa. The use of formed plywood to define the structure and offer support continues the typography first conceived in the celebrated designs for the Royal Festival Hall in 1951.

The structure of the design is clearly revealed with fixings exposed and the upholstery unit raised on stainless steel legs. The design for Avian incorporates the option of an upholstered liner for the inside face of armrests.

The Avian family reflects Robin Days perceptive ability to create understated and functional furniture.
